Your new role
- We are looking for a Facilities/Maintenance Technician to join our team.
- This is a 6-month fixed term contract.
- Execute routine qualification protocols for various equipment, ensuring adherence to established procedures and protocols.
- Provide hands-on observation and assistance in plant and facilities maintenance, addressing repairs and improvements. Perform basic DIY duties across facilities to maintain operational efficiency.
- Conduct PAT testing on equipment to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
- Manage equipment re-qualification mapping activities to ensure accurate and up-to-date records.
- Collaborate with on-site contractors, providing support and coordination for maintenance activities. Ensure effective communication with colleagues regarding planned and unplanned actions.
- Conduct daily checks to maintain equipment functionality and identify potential issues. Escalate and report any deviations in materials, facilities, processes, or procedures promptly.
- Actively contribute to process improvement initiatives related to equipment maintenance and facilities management. Implement Good Manufacturing Practice/Good Engineering Practice to enhance compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Serve as the Health and Safety Facilities Representative, promoting a culture of safety and adherence to protocols.
- Utilise Q Pulse Asset as a Super User, ensuring accurate and efficient asset management.
- Play a key role in resolving Quality Management System (QMS), Change Controls (CCs), deviations (DEVs), and CAPAs, ensuring compliance.
- Take responsibility for raising purchase orders and organizing timely deliveries for required materials and services.
- Be available for weekend and out-of-hours working as needed, supporting maintenance activities, and ensuring continuous inspection readiness.
About you
- Experience in a Good Manufacturing Practice or cleanroom environment would be desirable, although not essential.
- Exceptional organisational and planning skills with the ability to deliver results to deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a proven track record in maintaining effective relationships.
- Excellent attention to detail with a desire to continually develop and improve our processes.
- The ability to multi-task in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Able to work to deadline and be fluid in completing tasks.
- Able to demonstrate flexibility and enthusiasm.
- A full clean UK driving licence.
